I had always planned to create a range of tapestry kits, using slogans from Bokki clothing - but only after producing lots of other products!  I was just a bit heartbroken, when my step-mum was suggesting nice things I could do for me, so I felt happier; when I remembered a tapestry kit I had at home.  I love making & sewing & find tapestry very relaxing, easy & more than a little addictive!

It’s quite meditative; you’re focused on something, but equally you’re calm & miles away. 

Mindful & mindless all at the same time!  Perfecto!

But unfortunately for me, my tapestry wasn’t printed; so each stitch had to be counted & perfectly placed on the blank canvas.  Worrying I might sew in the wrong place was way more stressful than relaxing for me!

So, I decided my designs had to be printed to ensure no faffing or thinking was required. 

I also thought tapestry kits could be a good medium for inspiring messages & affirmations for other people who like me, also wanted a happier, better, richer, braver, cheekier life!

Affirmations need to repeated every day, till they become part of your new mindset & fancy-shmancy new life (whatever that may be).  I felt that the time needed to complete the tapestry, all whilst seeing & sewing the message (whether you were aware of it or not),meant that the meaning should be fully ensconced in your heart, soul & brain by the time you’ve finished your work of art!

Hilariously, my step mum’s suggestion resulted in absolutely ZERO relaxation for me as instead of chilling & sewing, I hurled myself headfirst into to trying to create this business, so I could produce something so you guys could chill out instead!

It was deeply hectic, but very exciting & it made me truly happy as I was doing exactly what I was always meant to do – producing my designs & making Bokki happen.
